Dancing in the Streets

I had an 'aha' moment recently. For the past few months I've been noticing cats prints all over my car when I wake up in the morning (for some reason only my car). Then, recently I saw Puss in Boots where the cats were dance fighting. It hit then that they're dancing on my car in
the moonlight.

Leave it to Beaver

I was recently listening to Jeff Foxworthy tell a story of how a man had his nipple bitten off by a beaver. The imagery was just beautiful, so I thought I'd sketch it

Katana classes

For the great artist Mike Daley and his new adventures with katana classes.

Attorney

I dunno, something just seemed funny to me about a sea otter who was an attorney.

I Wanna Be Like You

I suppose based off of how much I listen to it, "I Wanna Be Like You" from Disney's 'The Jungle Book' is one of my favorite songs. Aside from it being a great tune, it means something to me personally. One of my long term goals is to work in feature film animation. I'll get there soon enough (it's why I draw everyday like this to keep improving). I happen to work next to Dreamworks here in California and I always see the artists over there, and of course what's my thought?..."I wanna be like you!" :)

The Missing Bike

I joined the ranks of Pee Wee Herman over the weekend and had my bike stolen. Time to head to the Alamo to find it.

Star Wars: It's ON!

I saw Star Wars 3D last night and kept wanting Samuel Jackson to start yelling and screaming at people, but he didn't. One could hope right?

WHAT IS?!!!

My dear, Italian friend Beatrice. Though she may be a master animator, her English may need a bit more polishing.

Tour groups

Gastown in Vancouver is fun...until the tour buses show up. Those things roll through and unload masses into the stores and nothing but a path of destruction is left in their wake. Sarah and I were down there on a particular incident where a Japanese tour bus unloaded and it was like a stampede. They were all talkin', yellin', and pointing everywhere. It was like the seagulls from Finding Nemo.

Mama Monster

I heard late that V Magazine and Lady Gaga were doing a contest where you send in a sketch of her and if they chose it will put it in their next issue. I missed the deadline, but thought I'd do it anyway.ch

A Home Among the Gum Trees

There's a goofy Australian country singer, John Williamson, who has a song by this title. This image popped into my head when I was listening to it the other day.

Routine

Moving from Vancouver where we lived on the 11th floor to Oakland where we live on the ground level of a street with lots of foot traffic makes you realize there's certain routines that need some adjustment.

Paula has butter issues

Conversations with my mom typically hover between my sister's kids and food. Under the food umbrella, Paula Deen is often mentioned. My mom's fascinated by her, as I am, but for different reasons. Her mutual bond with Paula though can be explained in one word...butter.
